Maybe I can explain it better. For example: I want to send my paper to someone, it is a microsoft office doc format, or a abobe pdf format, or god-knows-there-are-soooo-many formats. Certainly I can somehow put it in a PDB, but that would require a recipent to have a program on his/her PalmPDA to understand the file to beam it back to a PC/Laptop running windows/linux. That may not always be possible or easy. However if I can manage to send over a prc, it can run right away and do the actual beaming work. That would be cool. It is like self-extracting archrive.
