Matt, Keeping that serial port open and active simply costs you power - nothing you can do about that other than do your syncing as fast as possible...
The amount of juice used whilst using the serial port (debugging, syncing whatever) is a function of the time the port is open. Strategy? Whatever you do, do it fast! :-) Gavin. -----Original Message----- From: Matt Mason [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, 3 December 2001 6:39 PM To: Palm Developer Forum Subject: Internet conduit and power I know that I get a power hit when I debug on a live device, and was wondering why that is. I think that I will introduce the same kind of power drains if I try to sync with my conduit to an internet site. Anyone agree? What strategies are people employing for having a PC resident application connect with a website to ultimately update data back on the device? Thanks so much in advance for any feedback.
