You need to do a system reset. I am not really sure about your device, for my visor, I would need to hold down the up key and push the reset. System reset will not erase the data but it doesn't not send certain launch code, which probably causes the problem you have.
If that doesn't work, you need to a hard reset. Usually it is like holding down the power button and push reset. Release the power button when you see the palm logo. The device will ask you for confirmation. You will lose all the data.
