As someone searching for a way to automate our release testing I'd
certainly vote for this as a good feature for POSe to have.  Is there
somewhere these patches could be posted for those interested in
applying them?

I'm going to employ some slaves^H^H^H^H^H^H students for the
holidays and could apply one of them to the task of creating a simple
interface for this.
