Now there's an idea.... Put 14 thumbtacks on your desk, pointy side up. Randomly seed a table in the same shape as the tack layout. turn the device screen downwards & drop onto the tacks.
If the screen is still readable when you pick it up, you should be able to determine which number has fewest pin-holes in it... Of course, if the tacks keep falling out when you pick up the device, you could try taping a 5 pound weight to the back of it before dropping...
