I am wondering about how to write Palm and PC applications that communicate via USB. I am comfortable with Palm OS programming, but I'm unfamiliar with USB and the newer Palm devices that support it.
I understand that on the Palm side I may simply use the New Serial Manager, just as if I was communicating via RS-232. (Is this correct?) But what about on the PC side? Surely there exist USB drivers for the various devices (Sony Clie, Handspring Visor, etc.), but is there any documentation for developers? Also I am wondering if there is a "generic" USB driver that works with *all* Palm devices (those that support USB, of course). Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Eric W.
