It seems to me that most people abbreviate it to its filename, which
is "Palm OS Reference", used to be "Palm OS SDK Reference" in older
versions, and is an abbreviation of the full title on the title page.
(And thence to "Reference", and similarly "Companion".)

This version of the documentation is the one that was shipped in the 4.0
SDK and by now is out of date and mostly interesting only for historical
purposes.  The most up to date version is at

        http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/docs/

A lot of the time, the documentation as shipped in the latest SDK and
the latest available documentation differ.  It used to be impossible to
figure this out from Palm's web pages.  Now it's merely very difficult.
