You can also enter the shortcut-dot-dot-2 sequence in the emulator (I am using v3.1) to get console mode. I usually fire up MemoPad then on a new memo, use the mouse to write the shortcut sequence. If successful, the input will be erased and the cursor will jump back to beginning of the line. In PalmDebugger, make sure connection is set to Emulator, then in the Console window, type "dir 0" and you can see the databases on the Emulator.
