Not really.
The built-in apps are built-in. The have the luxury of only needing to
run on the ROM they're burnt into.
If Palm changed the way these bitmaps were arranged in the system
(e.g. by making them go away), they would simply change these built-in
apps at the same time.
So actually the fact that they're used by the Memo Pad and Address Book
is no guarantee at all that they won't change.
