If you don't know linux, it is probably not an good idea to try. It is NEVER as simple as download-install-reboot-run. Even a experienced Linux user may suffer great pain in setting this things up.
If you still want to try, click on the following link to see how to setup the internet connection thing with infrared, or USB, or serial connection. If you can get it work, be happy. I cannot even find out why, due to lack of documents and supports.
