I strongly doubt that it works for desktop version of Win 2k, NY or XP.  The
website specifies "Server".  So most of the people don't need to waste time on
it.

However getting it run on Linux is truely easy to setup.  I have successfully
set up my visor to connect to internet with Mandrake 8.0.

The steps are described in David's website, however the images there are not
from a Palm with USB.  So make sure you specify "Direct USB/PC" while setting
up the connection and network prefs.

The 2.4 series of kernel supports NAT, so you are able to connect to anywhere
just fine.
