Sometimes somebody suggests that someone read a book or the Palm OS
documentation. Sometimes other people then suggest that the first
people weren't being very nice or helpful in suggesting that the people
with the questions educate themselves, and sometimes even give them some
"real help", such as an often over-complex example given out of its
context.
IMHO it's not obvious which group of people are *really* being more
helpful. It's related to that little thing about giving fish and
teaching fishing and durations of food supplies.
There's room for both kinds of help, but not for "just be nice and give
the guy some real help [...] Whadda ya say?"-style putdowns.
