Someone posted to me earlier and solved the too-easty-to-pull-out connector
problem.

I ordered one of these for my m505, and it is GREAT!  Better than the IIIc
cables.  It actually has a push button release.  The company has the cables
in stock, and shipped it to me immediately.  $22 US, $3 shipping to US.

It doesn't.  The M505 also has a serial port.
Code I've written for the PalmPro runs on the M500 unmodified, just with a
different cable. (with the too-easy-to-pull-out connector)
