I'm afraid that I don't have a clear picture of what you're doing, 
how you're doing it, what platform you're doing it on, and what's 
going wrong.

But one thing that might help you is to turn on NetLib logging (in 
the Logging Options dialog).  This will generate flow information 
concerning NetLib calls, their parameters, and their results. 
Perhaps there will be something in there that will shed some light on 
the problem.  (Please keep in mind that the log file is stored in RAM 
until you quit Poser, at which time it is written to a Log####.txt 
file in Poser's directory.  So you may have to turn on logging, 
perform some operation that should work but fails, quit Poser, and 
then examine the log.)
