You know.. how much effort would it require to add some heuristics
(call it a basic AI) into Lyris to auto-respond to questions like this,
pointing them to canned answers or the knowledge base? Count the words, then
see if certain words appear in the sequence.
Another one I've been wishing would exist here through Lyris is the
ability to put the actual egroups message number in the headers of each
message, thus linking them so it's easier to reference the thread itself.

Not impossible to put that number or the URL in the headers.
