I believe that if the receiving palm is not in the launcher. The database will not be deleted (just push datebook button before receiving). It has been a year or so since I looked at this so you might want to test it.

When I beam to another Palm OS handheld that already has a copy of the application, the database is replaced depending on the Palm OS version in the receiving handheld. If the receiving handheld has Palm OS 3.1.1, the application is replaced and the database is deleted. If the receiving handheld has Palm OS 3.5.3 or newer, the application is replaced and the database remains intact. Is this a known "feature"? And what Palm OS versions are affected? Is there a way I can avoid having the database deleted by the beam? -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/ -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/
