Members of the forum - I posted this message yesterday - and I don't want to seem
impatient - but it is not clear whether this is the appropiate forum to get the answer
to my question (since I do not have a programming question), or whether there might be
some specific technical support available from Palm. Anyway, I would appreciate
hearing from any of you as to where I might turn. To repeat my question:
---------------------
I am the inventor, but not the programmer of a chemical calculator (CHEMiCALC) that
runs fine on my Palm IIIxe and others. Also runs fine on the Palm Emulator on my PC
here (Win 98). However, when I try to install my application (a prc and pdb file) on
the Emulator on my notebook computer (Win 95), I get the following message (or pretty
close to it);
-----
"CHEMiCALC [2.1] just wrote to memory location 0x00005cc0, which is in the 'attr'
field of the
form control obj starting at 0x0005cb2, which belongs to the form starting at
0x0005924. The
data at this memory location is owned by the Form Manager. Applications should not
access the data directly. Instead, they should make the From Manager calls."
-------
It then pops up a menu with some reset options, which do not work and eventually I
have to get out. Given that the application works fine on the Emulator on my computer
here, I am at a loss as to what may be the cause of this error message that prevents
me from running it on the Emulator on my notebook computer. Suffice it to say, I need
this capability for a computer projection demo of my application.
  Thank you for your suggestions,
Bert Ramsay
