Hi-

I have heard a discussion exists along these line, yet I am unable to
find it in egroups. I'd like to build a continually beaming kiosk out
of a palm for an upcoming trade show. I've written code to beam my
application, but of course the PalmOS throws up a modal dialog upon
failure to beam.

As I recall, some suggested patching FrmDoDialog and just bypassing
the output, but alas, the code is more complex (ie, it uses a custom
dialog with custom event handler).

I could muddle through this and probably eventually get it right,
patching and unpatching all the used UI and event traps during the
entire operation, but it is proving to be quite slow and tedious
process.

Does anyone know what I am trying to do here? Have you successfully
done it? Are you willing to share your solution?

How about availability of the standard beam code? Palm doesn't
publish the code (that I can find) only a stub. If I had a head
start, I could attack this from the other angle of rewriting palms
beam code for applications.

Cheers,
Ted
