This forum is powered (weakly) by commercial server software named Lyris. This server munges Message-IDs in one way on its NNTP interface, and munges them in a different way when it resends mail, and does it differently for every person subscribed via email. Thus it is impossible for you to cause your reply to be threaded correctly with this software. So you shouldn't worry about it too much. Just reply, and everyone will get crappy Subject-based pseudo-threading. (If you don't know the difference between this and real threading, see http://homepages.enterprise.net/jmarshall/threads.html .) (People using the NNTP server can get proper threading for messages from others posting via NNTP. People subscribed via email can use procmail tricks to get proper threading for messages from others posting via email -- but note that this gets screwed up by people like Matt "TiBook" Disher who tend to ask new questions by *replying* to an existing palm-dev-forum message instead of just emailing to palm-dev-forum@ (this adds a totally new topic to an existing thread instead of starting a new thread, and is quite annoying). Getting both at once is a larger undertaking that I suspect will involve effectively duplicating a server.)
