many many many months ago, i worked on a project with PGHQ to do
exactly this in real time once PGHQ had sorted out its own commerce
system and was not dependent on yahoo..
i put some info about it up:

the system is complete - but, it has not been integrated into the
PGHQ servers unforunately yet (dont ask me when they'll do it)..
it was nice, developers simply put c-like code up (java) compile
using the website, test using the website and the engine supported
various issues such as infinite loops etc so you wouldn't kill
the webserver.. for a while, when my site was running cold fusion,
i had a demo up where you could play with it in real time..
i could easily port it over to php :)
