I need to use the COM development suite under Visual Basic. Installed the CDK, added ocx to path, regsvr32'd it as instructions, and open a sample file on VB. When I run it, the line 'Dim pAdapter As New PDSystemAdapter' in the PDHotsync sample, generates error: The ActiveX component cant create object. I got references and components added as it should be, but still I can't get the most basic project to run.
System is Windows 2000 and VB6 SP5. Also tried on Win 98 (same computer), had the same results. What am I doing wrong here? Probably missing something very obvious, but I have tried all I know.
