Just kidding...  ;^)

To hook up to the debugger on (most?) handspring devices, one must press the cursive 
'l' (that's an "el"), dot, dot and then hold the up button down and keep it pressed 
while entering the '2'.  One then keeps it pressed until the debugger window displays. 
 The device will click away while the download happens.

I'd say that definitely counts as a secret handshake!

Shhh...  don't tell anybody else...
