I am completing a free cross-platform custom graphical user/installer widget for other developers to use to custom install their program's multiple databases onto PalmOS devices. The widget is a class that works across MSW/GTK(and OSX this summer) using the wxWindows toolkit, (www.wxwindows.org) a free toolkit which allows the single set of code to run across the three platforms.
Installing to RAM is finished and works well. On MSW this is: -Read the user.dat to get the name/subdirectory/magic number -Place the folder in in user's install folder -Set the Install[MagicNumber]=1 in "HotSync Manager" in registry. The new requested feature is installation to cards. What is the settings that are set to signal that a prc/pdb should be installed to a card. It seems that there is a setting of 5 used instead of 1 in the InstallMagicNumber key. What is the rest? Thanks for any wisdom that can be of assistance.
