I have successfully done a DEBUG on Palm V and Palm VII devices before but am trying out on HANDSPRING for the first time and am just NOT ABLE to get it RIGHT!!!
Am using a Handspring Visor device and want to debug my application on the device. Connecting device to the Serial port....Preferences in Codewarrior IDE as: Target : Palm OS device Connection : COM1 Baud Rate 57.6 Am doing the foll steps:--- 1) Menu --- Palm - Open Debug Console : I get a message box saying "Please place the device in console mode by entering 'shortcut'"..2 , I tap on OK. 2) On the handspring i tap on 'Find' button and enter the shortcut..2(before entering the 2 I press down on the UP scroll button and keep it pressed) 3) After abt 2-3 seconds I get a message saying "Connection attempt failed. Please try again". 4) Sometimes in the Log file it shows the following status --- ERROR! Serial port in use. Another application is using the serial port. Please quit the other application and try again. PLEASE HELP !!!
