I have a similar problem. I have a Palm V and the digitizer doesn't work. I run the Welcome (build in) program to calibrate the screen again (or Pref -> digitizer) and the Palm seems to work OK until the next hot sync. Then, I have to calibrate again. I think, OK, not too bad, just have to do it once but I was wrong. Once, I try to play a game and the digitizer doesn't work... Now, I think it is the hardware problem. If this problem happens on one Palm device, I think it is not your software problem.
