Hi, We have a PRC,a conduit and a desktop application. We have mutiple users of Palm devices sharing the same data on the desktop. These individual users on the Palm can modify the data on the Palm.Right now the PRC does not have beaming capabilities.We now need to add Beaming capabilites to the PRC in a way that all Palm Users have the same data after beaming.The way beaming should work for our application is as follows:
We need to define roles for users of the devices as primary and secondary.The beaming can be initiated by either the Primary or the Secondary user.Once the inititation begins this is what needs to happen: 1.) The primary should read all the records from a database called "Transactions" on the Secondary 2.) The Primary should write all these records into the same database(i.e. Transactions) on itself 3.) All the records on the "Transactions" database on the Secondary should now be deleted 4.) All the records from the "Transaction" database on the Primary now need to be written to the "Transaction" database on the Secondary The reason we have to define these Primary/Secondary roles is while reading/writing records all conflicts would be handled with the Primary being given the priority. Can anyone please tell me if this is possible. If so,I would really appreciate if someone gives me a few points as to how to go about doing this(assigning roles and the actual beaming).I am a newbie to Palm and would really appreciate all help.
