There is no right or wrong way. One database is easier database management, harder record manager. Multiple databases are more database management, less record management. Possible considerations: record sizes are limited to 64K, records in a database are limited 64K (although some of the data manager APIs effectively limit you to 32K). HotSync goes much faster with a smaller number of larger records.
