Even though I've only been doing Palm apps a short time, I've given up on
Constructor...

To get at my .rsrc files, I bought PilRC designer for $29. I got it at
www.falch.net. It did a perfect job converting my .rsrc files to .rcp files
and now I do all my forms in PilRC source and a couple of different design
tools.

A side benefit is the control I have over assigning constants used in forms
and using relative positioning in forms which actually has made for better
code in my apps.

I've had no trouble using PilRC designer to convert .rsrc files but the
WYSIWIG tool isn't very "robust" and, in my opinion, really is in
pre-release condition. But, it saved my seat-warmer when I corrupted a .rsrc
file with 30 very complex forms in it.

If you move to working with PilRC and want a WYSIWYG design tool, check out
VFDIDE (at www.vfdide.com). It's pretty good.
