hello everybody, I have created a sample MIDP application, which actually connects to a webserver thru a JSP file and pulls the data from a text file which contains stock prices. this application also contains a stock ticker and stock news features. This sample application I have tried on different simulators (even Palm).
Now my question is, if i deploy this application after converting to a .prc file on a palm device, will this application work just like what i am seeing in my palm simulator. My doubt here is how we can able to get the HTTP connectivity on a palm device, which is handled by a person doing a field work.(means he doesn't have a network for connectivity to the internet. this was available for Palm simulator to work properly) do we need to have palm modem to have connectivity with webserver? also can we able to use IRD port of a Palm device to connect to a network PC with IRD port?
