Dear Cyndi,

Welcome to the palm-dev-forum.

Here are some tips that will help you:

1. When posting a message to the group, use a Subject line that
identifies your problem; don't use somebody else's subject line. For
example, this subject line might be "How do I get the emulator
working?"

2. Use more precise descriptions than "all the files that I've
downloaded to my desktop". What files did you download? Where did you
put them? How did you try to use them? What do you want them to do
for you? What happened that you didn't expect? What OS does your
desktop use?

To use the emulator:

1. Get the latest version from
http://www.palmos.com/dev/tools/emulator/

2. Get one or more ROM files for the emulator. See
http://www.palmos.com/dev/programs/pdp/login.html and sign up for the
Resource Pavillion if you haven't already done so. (You can also
export the ROM file from any Palm Powered handheld you own. See the
instructions that come with the emulator.)

3. Read the instructions that come with the emulator.

4. Start the emulator and load the ROM file.

5. Set up your development environment to use the emulator. Are you
using CodeWarrior, GCC, Falch, AppForge, NSBasic, java, etc. ?? The
instructions will vary depending on the development environment.
