What do you mean "run a communications application on the Palm"? I am pretty OK to run some app on Palm that would act as a server and to which I can connect from the client running on PC. Is there way to do this? I know Palm supports TCP/IP. So I suppose if I new Palm device IP address and implement a listener socket on Palm I could connect to that socket from client PC app, can't I? Is Palm IP address known and fixed? I know of one Handspring application that when lunched on Palm provides server services to a desktop app running on PC without HotSync. So it proves this is possible. I just don't know hot this app is implemented.
