Part of the licensing scheme of my app depends upon an expansion card having a unique identifier, as returned by ExpCardInfo() in the deviceUniqueIDStr field.
I have not found anywhere that definitively states whether all SD cards on the market will indeed have a unique ID string. Is the implementation of this UID mandated in the spec for SD? Or do vendors just implement this out of the kindness of their hearts, and it's probable that some SD cards might not have a UID, or that it might be identical to another SD card out there somewhere, etc? In addition to SD cards, any ideas about the reliability of a UID field for the other ExgMgr-supported expansion card media types? (MemoryStick, CF, SD, MMC, SmartMedia, RAMDisk) I don't know where to begin looking for this kind of information, tips appreciated.
