Hi all, I've been trying (without success) to localize my app on the Handspring Treo. I've done the following which as far as I can see should result in a language change on the app but nothing is happening.
1 I create a project in CW8 with all resources are in English and the 'generate xpref' box in the resource editor is ticked. The output file is 'english.prc'. 2 Using the prc2ovl tool I do: 'prc2ovl english.prc -locale enUK -o EnglishOvl.prc' which creates 'EnglishOvl.prc' overlay for enUK. 3 Then I do: 'prc2ovl english.prc -locale frFR -o FrenchOvl.prc' which creates 'FrenchOvl.prc' overlay for frFR. 4 Using the resource editor I edit this file (FrenchOvl.prc) to have the french text changes in it. 5 Then I do: 'prc2ovl FrenchOvl.prc -c -p english.prc -o FixedFrenchOvl.prc'. This gives me a FixedFrenchOvl.prc file 6 I then install both english.prc and FixedFrenchOvl.prc on my Handspring Treo which is running in French. But when I run the app it still comes up in English. Is there anything I've forgotten to do or does the Treo not support the overlay manager ? Its running PalmOS 3.5 so it should do. Having searched the archives I can't see what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for any help. Steve -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/
