I have trouble displaying a grayscale bitmap. I created a Bitmap Family in Constructor and assigned 3 bitmaps with 1, 4 and 16 shades of gray to it. However, POSE running with the ROM of my m500 and also with various downloaded 3.5 and 4.0 ROMS only displays the 1-bit version. On the Palm Knowledge Base I found the hint that the bitmap name has to start with /-2/ to be recognized as a 2-bit grayscale image. I changed the name of my bitmap, but it still only get a 1-bit image on the display. I even tried to take out the 1-bit image from the bitmap family to force the Palm using the 2-bit or 4-bit images. In that case, I get a poor quality 2-bit image which the Palm apparently tries to display as a 1-bit image. What's wrong?
