Not so. Go back and read Keith's post, and Aaron's white paper linked in Joe's message. You *don't* need to discover the hasing algorithm. You just need to patch the the instructions which handle the conditions *after* the algorithm is checked. And this isn't so hard either, using tools like those in Keith's post. Aaron's white paper discusses ways to make this more difficult for the casual pirate. But that's about it.
