Palm OS doesn't currently support Unicode as the device's character encoding, but it does allow you to convert between various Unicode encodings and the device's character encoding. However, even if there was a Unicode-based device, it still wouldn't be a complete solution if you really want to display both Chinese and Japanese characters. You'd need different fonts, as the same unified Han character (same Uncode code point) will typically have a different appearance in a Japanese versus a Chinese font. -- Ken -- Ken Krugler TransPac Software, Inc. <http://www.transpac.com> +1 530-470-9200 -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/
