First off, you will still need to make a cable. While Pose will use one of your PC's COM ports you still have to have it physically connected it to another port on your PC to talk. I routinely use the terminal program that ships with Windows to test my code on Pose. Just don't forget to connect a NULL modem cable from COM1 to COM2. There are several serial examples using the serial port on the Palm available, search the web or the Palm Knowledge base.
