Hi palm-dev-forum,

Has anyone been able to get the streaming sound demo provided
by palm at: http://oasis.palm.com/dev/kb/samples/3009.cfm to
work on the simulator? I can't seem to get the app to find
the raw PCM sound data files. Here's what I've done:

* Built and installed the streaming sound demo itself successfully.

* Downloaded and installed HostFS_Simulator.prc and verified that
it is working by noticing that POSESlot1 appears in the Apps
menu (though when I select it, there isn't anything in it).

* Discovered that there is a directory called Card1 in
  CodeWarrior\Palm Tools\Palm OS Simulator\Debug (i.e., the same
  directory where PalmSim.exe resides).

* Put the two audio sample files which come with the demo
  (testsound22kHz1Ch.raw and testsound44kHz2Ch.raw) in this
Card1 directory and tried the demo app out, even though these
files did not show up under POSESlot1. The app complained
that it couldn't find the VFS file (apparently it found the
VFS volume successfully. . . it didn't complain about that).

* I also tried putting these files in Card1\Palm and
  Card1\Palm\Launcher (which just appeared. . . I didn't create
  them) to no avail.

Has anyone been through this? Any suggestions? The HostFS docs
talk about a HostFS Options dialog which can be accessed (like
all the other emulator settings) by right clicking and choosing
it from the menu. I was able to find this dialog in the _emulator_
but not in the _simulator_.

Thanks,
Chris
