Matt- Okay, here's the scoop.
VCal import is available only on version 4.0 or higher of the Palm Desktop. There is no programmatic method of importing via vCal files. The user has to do something (drag & drop or use the import menu). The Macintosh install does still include the 'Holiday' import files. -bob mckenzie, palmsource pdx -----Original Message----- From: Matt Disher [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, October 03, 2002 8:27 AM To: Palm Developer Forum Subject: Datebook import format question Does Palm no longer give away those handy 'Holiday' import files for datebook ? I have been asked to provide similar functionality from a web-site. (Provide an import file of dates/agenda items for import into PalmDesktop and therefor the Datebook application). I know I can do this programmatically on the handheld itself but was wanting to avoid the two step process of creating a pdb and an app to shove items into datebook. I found a tech note that says the *.dba files are just VC streams and are version dependant, etc, etc. Anyone else have any hints/tips/tricks to do this ? Am I approaching this from the wrong angle ? -MD -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/ -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/
