I am developing an application that uses a custom keyboard and keyboard.prc
dated 06/24/2002 as a driver. I have to beam files from one PDA to another
and I find that if I enter the beaming logic after having used the keyboard
I get the subject error message. I have 8 files to beam in the one case and
after giving the error message on the first file it will go ahead and beam
the other 7 files. I can make it beam all 8 files by beaming the first one
twice. If I make the program call the beaming logic from appstart before I
have to use the keypad it works fine - no error message.
My theory is that the library reference is changed to a different default
when keyboard.prc does it's thing. I'd like to try setting
ExgSocketType.libraryRef to the IR Exchange Library but I can't find the
value anywhere. Does anyone know what that value should be or some other
way around this problem?
I put this request for help on the Communications Forum but didn't get any
responses. I thought a wider dissemination might turn up someone who found
a solution. Surely someone else has written an application that uses both
beaming and keyboard.prc. I'd appreciate any suggestions - I'm out of things
to try.
regards,
Dave Mottorn
