There is no sscanf equivalent.  I would assume most Palm OS programmers 
write their own parsers, going a character at a time.  I know that, along 
with some help from API calls like StrStr, is what I've used to parse 
strings in Palm OS apps in the past.

If you're using CodeWarrior for Palm OS, you need to add an access path to 
the standard library.  For CWPalmOS V8, add a system access path pointing 
to "{Compiler}(MSL for Palm OS)".  If you're using V7, MSL is stored 
somewhere in "Palm OS 3.5 Support" folder, but the untested C library 
headers is in "{Compiler}MSL".

This header for standard I/O provider applciations and doesn't have general 
use for most apps... this interface was mainly written to support the 
network applets you can invoke from the Network Log window of the 
Connection pref panel.
