That doesn't work too well for me for one reason... I already have enough
of a list of registered users to make switching registration systems a
pain in the arse (for me and them). The one that I have now is the same
through all versions of the software, so when you register once you can
keep upgrading and it will always be registered until you delete the app
(which then you can enter the code again and start over, as long as the
HotSync ID is the same). The other side of that is having to have another
version of each app specifically for eSellerate.

What I'm wanting to do, if it's possible, is to have eSellerate get the
user ID from the customer and pass it to me as part of the CSV file they
would send. I'm working on a system now to automatically pull CSV files
from email sent by PalmGear, Handango, etc. to generate reg codes and send
them to customers. In those two cases, I have all of the scripting
finished... I just need to make the generation script run automatically
once I've confirmed that it will work from both sources with manual runs.
The only missing piece of the puzzle is handling direct sales that I
currently do through PayPal.

My current alternatives (ordered in terms of effort) are:

        - Custom PHP shopping cart tied into PayPal
        - eSellerate (if they can provide what I need)
        - Drop direct sales and work through PG and Handango only
