Hi, I have a TreoG. I have some questions regarding transferring data wirelessly . I know there are two options - making data calls or using GPRS. I have never used GPRS and would like to know how I should do it. I have an application running on the PDA which should periodically connect to a server and get data. I do not know when data will be available. One option is to periodically make data calls and query the server. Is there a way to initiate a data call from the other device without having connected to the network? Our GSM operators still do not offer GPRS. I would be grateful if someone has played with it and can give me some advice how to use it. Is programming GPRS the same as programming data calls?
