Subject: Async Waves on OS5

Hi Everyone,

I've read that if you play back waves asynchronously
in OS5, you're not supposed to unlock the handle to
the sound resource until the sound has finished
playing. Unlocking the handle in the middle of
playback can cause system crashes, etc.

My question: How do I know (programmatically) when
the wave has finished playing? Right now, it's a
guessing game for me, but I think this may explain why
I get sound "clipping" and other artifacts when I try
to play waves quickly on OS5 (I'm unlocking handles
that are still being used by the OS).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

-Robert
