Hi All, A specific question: how could I go about programmatically adding a category to a given database? (I don't want to have to call CategorySelect (or even CategoryEdit)).
I've tried Finding the first zeroed out category name, and calling CategorySetName, but it didn't work. I think I'm running into the 'Don't use the CategoryGetName function to iterate through the categories' warning on the PalmOS5 info page for the function? Is there a straightforward way to do this in software? A general question: How evil will it be to attempt to add categories into the mail database? Has anyone tried it who's willing to relate their experiences? I don't need to hotsync emails back up to the client (though if it happened, I'd be thrilled), but I do want to make sure not to break anything. Also, does anyone know if there are any particular ordering restrictions upon the mail database as there are on the DateBook's database?
