Hehe, that sounds a bit familiar.  I recently 
released an app to a few company-internal
beta testers, among them my boss, and some of 
them managed to get themselves into a similar
situation (the webserver didn't have the MIME 
type set correctly for .prc; that combined with 
using Netscrape resulted in a corrupt file being 
downloaded and then happily installed by Hotsync). 
Basically, I didn't find a way other than Hard Reset 
to get rid of the corrupt app.  Of course, since 
they had just hot-synced their devices minutes before 
to install the app, they didn't lose anything.

Screwing up your boss' Palm can be pretty
embarrasing... ;-)
