If you checked by clicking through to the escribe archive, I think
you'll find that escribe has long since forgotten about tools-forum,
and that the archive contains only an ancient fraction of the postings
on that mailing list.

How about all the GCC-specific banter goes to tools-forum, and all the
CW-specific banter goes to tools-forum? Oh, wait. That won't help.

You may be amused to hear that of the last 1200 or so messages on
palm-dev-forum, 71 contained the words "GCC" or "prc-tools", while 316
contained the words "CodeWarrior" or "Metrowerks".
