Does MIDP for Palm OS provide access to Palm OS native features?
like direct access to arbitrary Palm databases (datebook, phonebook, etc.) ???? Please anyone help me.

Try searching for "Java" and "Palm" or "PalmOS"
and you'll find a whole bunch of stuff. Among
them this (apparently not quite up to date) list
