I understand it in the way, that the pointer is locked and you don't have to do it. On the other hand, I think, you are not allowed to unlock it. If you have to unlock, the docs would state it. In my opinion, use this pointer only at the same time you got it. Never keep it or store it anywhere.

right?  With the MemPtrUnlock() function in place the code blows an error
