We are building a serial cable to connect our m125 to one of our own devices via RS232. Our device normally communicates with a PC, so our serial cable would be a normal Palm serial cable with a gender changer and a null modem cable.
Since we would like to create some of our own cables, there are a couple of pins I was curious about. HS IRQ (5) ID (8) VOUT (9) DETECT (12) Do any of these need to be connected if we are just communicating with our own device? The ID and DETECT are connected to SG, but do we have to connect them? VOUT and HS IRQ appear to only be related to HotSync'ing, so my guess is they don't need to be.
